Are my pokemon good enough for the elite four in leaf green?

Ok I haven't played leaf-green yet (never bought it) but from my experience with other Pokemon games, I'd say you level up pidgeotto, lapras, persian, vulpix and onix to at least maybe a level 50 depending on what level the elite four are, you can always defeat them with pokemon about 5 levels lower so dont be scared. Now your move sets aren't too bad, but you have to take into account the pokemon's high points and weak points. For example onix isn't very good, its very slow and has low sp. def, and its weak to grass4x/water4x/ground2x/fighting2x/ice2… and it has no sp. atk but by God he has defence lol and also his ability counts, if he has rockhead then he has to have double-edge.
