POLL: Do you think the U.S. should drill for more oil off of our coastal areas?

YES. How do you think we got the oil prices down in the latter 80's? Because we started drilling on our land and offshore. We also started buying from Venezuela, Mexico and the North Sea from England as well as developing nuclear energy using more coal. When we have an abundance of oil, then OPEC tries to overproduce so that it will be cheaper to buy from them than drill ourselves-then they raise it by cutting production and we are screwed. Did you know that China is partnering with countries around the Gulf of Mexico to suck the oil out from under our noses!
